compounds such as alcohol and glucose also contains hydrogen but are not categorised as acids. why?

it's so because acid is a substance which when dissolved in water form hydronium ion as the only positive ion
but glucose and alcohol doesn't dissociate to form hydronium ion
and also they don't turn blue litmus into red
