Compounds such as alcohols and glucose contain hydrogen but are not categorized as acids.Why?

compounds such as alcohol and glucose contains hydrogen but they are not categorised as acids because they don't dissociate ions when they are added to water just like acids...

This can be checked through an activity in which alcohol and glucose don't conduct electricity while acid does.....
