To help ensure that children maintain a healthy weight, balancing their energy levels is extremely important. Some of the ideas with which parents can do this are – encouraging kids to make small changes like eating fresh fruits, going for walks post dinner, getting children admitted to schools which
inculcate healthier habits etc. Children with obesity are more likely to remain obese when they grow up if not
controlled on time. With the world turning digital, children of this generation prefer to stay home in the evenings with their tabs in one hand and some lip-smacking snack in the other. But as guardians, think – is this doing any good to your kid? So, instead of letting them sit on the couch for the whole evening with their video games or other gadgets, let them get off and hit the playground with their friends. When they go out to play together, they will not only learn to share and have fun, but will also indulge in some rigorous physical activity. They will feel motivated to do other stuff like studying and extra-curricular activities when playing with their friends. After all, ‘All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.’
