Recycling is an important way of caring for our planet. People use many new
products every year and create a lot of waste. By recycling the things we don't
want, we can reduce the need to make new things. Metal. glass and paper can be
easily recycled
It is a good idea to remake things from old material. This could be fun too! Old
metal containers can be turned into food boxes, old glass bottles can be made into
table lamps. Bed-sheets could be turned into bags and old curtains can be made
into cushion covers or rugs.
Apart from recycling, there are other things that we must do to save our natural
resources. We should reduce the amount of plastic, paper, electricity and water that
we use. We should avoid the use of plastic bags as much as we can. And if we
have to use plastic bags, we should keep them carefully and reuse them instead
of buying new ones. We should write on both sides of a sheet of paper and not
print things unless necessary. We should remember to switch off fans, lights and
electrical appliances when they are not being used. We should not leave the phone
charger in the socket after the phone has been charged. We should bathe using a
bucket instead of a shower.
