The formula for compressibility factor of gas is

Z= PV/RT

Where p,v,t =>pressure,volume,temperature

But according to the question,at critical state of gas ,the formula becomes

Z =Pç ×Vç/R ×Tç

where

Pç = a/ 27b²

Vç =3b

Tç =8a/27Rb

R= 0.082

On sub. it the compressibility factorvalue is

Z = 0.375....
