The amount will be ₹73608.

Explanation:

The formula to calculate the compound amount that is compounded semi-annually :

A=P(1+\dfrac{r}{2})^{2t} , where P = principal , r= rate of interest ( in decimal) and t is time.

As per given , we have

P= ₹65536

t= 1+\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{3}{2} years

r = 12\dfrac{1}{2}\% = \dfrac{25}{2}\% = \dfrac{25}{200}=0.125

Substitute all  values in the formula , we get

A= 65536(1+\dfrac{0.125}{2})^{2(\frac{3}{2})}\\\\=65536(1.0625)^3\\\\=65536(1.19946289)\\\\=78607.999959\approx78608

Hence, the amount will be ₹73608.
