To solve, use formula concentration of solute in mass percent =  

mass of solute/ mass of solute + mass of solvent  ×100

Mass of solute, sugar = 25g

Mass of solvent, water = 225g

Substituting values in formula,

Concentration of solute in mass%=  

25/ 25 + 225  ×100 =

25/ 250  ×100  

=10%
