No. Of moles = 5.85/58.5 = 0.1

No of ions will be of both Na that is Na + and Cl-

= 0.1 × 2 × 6.022 × 10^23

= 1.2044 × 10^23 ions.

Hope it helps!

Jhani: Pls mark it best if understood.
anish001: m sorry but its incorrect
Jhani: What's the right ans,?
anish001: its 6.022 × 10^22 of Na+ ions and 6.022 × 10^22 of Cl- ions.
Jhani: Yeah the same
anish001: dude its not the same...
Jhani: I gave ans in total of both
anish001: yeah!
