A virus is a program that enters the computer by attaching itself to another program and then spread itself across the system

i) Computer Viruses- Virus is a program code that cannot work without being inserted into another program. A virus usually copies itself into the operating systems programs, and from there to the hard disk and any inserted external disks.

ii) Worms- Worms is a distinct program that can run unaided. Once it has entered the system, it keeps on replicating itself and eats up crucial resources such as memory and storage.
