Computers have become not just popular but also a necessity. The importance of computer literacy cannot be undermined, especially at a time when even the national government is trying to shift to digitalisation of services used by common people. It is therefore logical to encourage children to get acquainted with computers at an early age, yet there is a challenge involved.

Answer:

The challenge lies in striking the right balance between use and overuse of the device. With children clinging to computer screens, issues related to eyesight have increased manifold. Additionally, computers have become a source of distraction for students. Surfing the internet for academics often leads to surfing social media sites. The addictive nature of these sites causes students to waste precious time that could have been utilised in a better way. With studies and health suffering, children become irritable, making the issue even more complex.

Given how academics, computers and overall well-being are interconnected, it can be concluded that this is indeed the age of the computer challenge, wherein everyone struggles to ensure that the computer is used wisely, with minimum side effects.
