concave mirror is part of sperical  mirror in which whose reflecting sufaces  is bulging out .. 

Distance of this uis always take negative 
Focal of this is always take negative .


Convex mirror is a part of sperical mirror whose reflecting surface is bulging in .
Distance of this images is alwaye take negative .

focal lenght is always take positive ,.

CONCAVE MIRROR:
( 1) concave mirror makes the light meet at a point after reflection( converges) .
(2) when the object is placed very close to the concave mirror, an erect and enlarged virtual image is formed inside the mirror.
(3) example:
used as reflectors in car headlamp,shaving mirrors etc..

CONVEX MIRROR:
(1) convex mirror diverges the light.
(2) convex mirror form only virtual image that are diminished in size .
(3) example:
used as rear view mirrors in automobiles etc....
