Concave mirror is an example of diverging lens.
It is therefore used to diverge the light ray falling on the lens.
This will diverge the light and make it less faint.
So we cannot use concave mirror in torch.
We use convex lens in torch.
This is because convex lens can easily converge the light rays and give a sharp focus .
This will help in illuminating a small area with great amount of light.
Hence converging lens are used in torches.
