we know that when light falls on focus it passes through infinity...so in headlights concave mirror is placed in such a way that light falls on focus and passes through infinity and so that light can be seen by farther vehicles to avoid accidents..

A- Generally concave mirror forms real and magnified images.So,to get a magnified image,we use the concave mirror.A plane mirror will not form a magnified image and a convex mirror will form a deminished image.Thatswhy,we use a concave mirror and not any other mirror.
