concave mirror is a converging mirror and it converges the parallel light rays becoming from the sun to a focus so that all the heat gets converged at a single point ....hope it helps

Concave mirror is used in reflecting the solar energy of the sun and focussing it at a point.
When light rays parallel to the principal axis fall on the Concave mirror, then it reflects them all and we get a point source of light which is very powerful. This is generally used in solar furnaces.
