Hot rolling is done for hard items like metal
to make the rolling easy. The temperature and other specifications vary for
various hot rolling processes to prevent the possibility of metal sticking to
rollers.
# Once the metal is heated, it is passed through a roughing mill to flatten the metal into thin strips.
# After the metal is taken out of the roughing mill, the flattened plate is cleaned thoroughly to remove the mill scale.
# The cleaned plate is once again flattened till it reaches the desired thickness.
# The plate with the desired thickness is then cooled and coiled.
