Conclusion after the plant has grown well

Conclusion
Do you think about what would happen if plants do not get enough sun? Would they grow the same? Basically, this is what my project is about. My hypothesis was if the amount of sun increases, then the plant growth will also increase because light helps plants grow. My independent variable is the amount of sun. My dependent variable is the growth of the plants. My controls/constants are the basil seeds and the location of the boxes and pots.
To begin this essay, I will start with analyzing the results. Basically, my hypothesis was correct in the end but some parts of my hypothesis are different. I was imagining that some of the plants would grow longer than the others, but really their leaves just grew a bit longer than the others. In trial number one with 5 inches, the leaves of my plant grew the longest. In trial number three with 1 inch, the leaves grew the shortest. That part I predicted in the beginning. Some of the plants, due to the water moving the placement on the seeds, were scattered around the pot.
Next, I will discuss the relationship between the variables. The independent variable is the amount of sun each plant gets. The Dependent variable is the growth of each plant. The relationship between them affects if the plant grows or not. If the plant does not get enough sun, it will not grow. This was shown in my project, because the plants getting the least amount of sun grew the least.
Lastly, I will evaluate my procedure. I was imagining that the plants would grow more in the period of time I was growing them. If I could change anything about my project, I would let the plants grow for a longer period of time, and I would put a long lasting light over the plant, because the sun is not always there (especially because it is winter).
In conclusion, my science project went really well. I learned that your plants need lots of sunlight to grow. I was surprised that they didn't grow more though. In the future, I would do this in the spring (less rain, more sunlight), and probably use a light if I did do this in the winter again.
