If the surface of the object is smooth then the friction is less between the two objects, similarly if the surface is hard then the friction is grater between the two objects which are in contact with each other

That is when we are walking there will be a friction of force between the ground and our leg,if there is no friction between the ground and leg then it is impossible for us to move from one place to another
Static friction: A friction which keeps an object to rest is known as static friction
