Consumer should know product terms and conditions.  

Consumer has rights during purchasing product.  

Right to use, right to information, right to challenge and right to access.

Where consumer is given respect and treatment those supplier will perform well.

-due to lack of education and awareness
-power of big producers to suppress the consumers
-people lack time to file a case against a producer in consumer courts.

How system can be improved
-governmental organisations like organisation for certification of jewellery should publish ads in newspaper to spread awareness for hallmark (an example)
-system of consumer courts should be more efficient
-each consumer should use consumer rights to prevent himself to get exploited.
