The area administered by Chola rulers revealed that these rulers are ambitious and good administrators. As they were invaded and ruling many areas, they may have thought that they can’t rule villages and talukas directly. As such, they have formed local government. Chola rulers were to be remembered due to their significant contributions towards hierarchical local administration based on democratic principles.
