People choose to live is determined by their stage of life.

Young people between 25 to 34 prioritise proximity at workplace cost of housing and access to leisure and cultural facilities when selecting a dwelling.

Those aged between 35 to 55 tend to value good schools and size and type of their houses.

People aged over 55 access to countryside and green space.

These preferences help to define the demographics seen through cities and different parts of cities are able to offer amenities which are prioritised by people at all stages of lives.
