Harita Haram is an step taken by the Telangana government to grow trees around our society or around the Earth. Harita Haram means Necklace of greenery. The aim for the Telangana government is to cover atleast 34% of the land in Telangana with greenery.
Many schools in the state have taken action to make this move an accomplishment. Many students of many schools took the initiative to plant green plants around their school.
There were many parades held to make the people of the society aware of this bold step. There were many bare lands covered with plants, the result of this step was success. This initiative started in 2015 and ended in 2018.
The conclusion I would make on this step is that, it would reduce the climatic temperature, make a way for many wild life animals, increase in bio-diversity, maintain the eco-system, it will make the lives of people better and make our state a better place to live in.
