The story hearts and hands talk about a prisoner and the police officer who is traveling through the train and they coincidentally meet the prisoners friend. After reading this story we can conclude that the police guy was a good man and was sympathetic towards the prisoner as he didn't wanted him to get embarrassed in front of a very old friend of his. He was ok with his own reputation to be ruined in front of the girl than the prisoners. The police man kept his hands hidden as he was handcuffed with the prisoner from the girl so she won't understand that who the police was and who the prisoner was.

In the story face in the dark we can conclude that there was no face in the light but there was a face seen in the dark.
(both of these are my favourite stories)
