Answer:

INSTEAD OF THE WORD CONCLUSION PLEASE USE THE WORD SUMMARY:)

"My Unknown Friend" is a short story about a man who meets a stranger on a train. The stranger starts talking to the man as if he has known him since the good old days. They have a long conversation about their old gang and the loss that the man has suffered.

The stranger knew every detail about the man, but the man cannot remember who the stranger is.

During the course of the conversation with the narrator, the stranger realized that he had missed the station where he was about to get down, it also seemed that the suitcase which he was carrying was not opening and all his money was in the suitcase and that was the reason for his agitation.

The speaker's only fear was that the stranger would fail to get off the train, thus immediately he pulled some money out of his pocket and offered it to the stranger, which the stranger grabbed immediately and sprang from the train.

The speaker blames himself for the loss, because in the end he was duped by the stranger, and all through the course of the conversation he was unable to find out the motive behind the conversation which the stranger was trying to have with the narrator.
