Hopefully all students take away from the information that people with Down Syndrome are not scary and should not be avoided. On the contrary, people with Down Syndrome are PEOPLE - just like you and I. They, however, may need extra time to do work or need help on certain tasks.

Students should become more comfortable in dealing with Down Syndrome and accept those with the disorder as their friend.
