Hello dear Tanya
Shylock is an interesting person in the play he plays a role of Jew as well as a father. actually he is a tragic figure in the play because of his angryness and thinking to taking revenge to Antonio for what he has done with him and because of his selfishness of money he is shown as a villain in the play.
shylock is one of the most interesting memorable and the debated character in the play "merchant of venice" in many ways this is because he is both a victim and a villain.shylock was made in laughing stock of and is ridiculed because he was a new and does not want that her daughter marry a christians because he was a jew.
Thanks!!
