Mission Kakatiya is a program inaugurated by the Cheif Minister of Telangana Shri Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR)  on 12 March 2015, by paying tribute to Kakatiya rulers who developed irrigation system well. So, the motto of thisc mission is to restore tanks and lakes in Telangana State, India. A part of this, government identified more than 45,000 minor tanks and lakes which were planned to restore by spending probably 20,000 crores in next 5 years.
