Present day coins are made up of stainless steel on the other hand ancient coins were made up of precious metals like gold,silver and copper

.In ancient coins there were symbols of goddess lakshmi,plants and animals but modern coins include the logo of Mahatma Gandhi,Jawahar Lal Nehru,Indira Gandhi,etc

Present day coins are light in weight while the ancient coins were heavy in weight.
