Although there is some evidence for a correlation between particulate matter and rainfall as the theory suggests, due to the lack of available/useable data on the key components of this study, I have been unable to definitively determine if there is in fact a connection between atmospheric pollution and precipitation in the Canterbury region. In order to properly confirm a relationship one would need at least a couple of more matching pairs of data ranges within the study over a lenghty period in order to compare and validate patterns in a true scientific manner.
