T.H.MORGAN introduced SEX-LINKED inheritance while working on DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER.
These are the conclusions made by him.
1. The method of inheritance in drosophila is XX-XY linked
(i.e. XX-> Female; XY-> Male)
Similar type is seen HUMANS too.
Male determines the sex of the off-spring.
The difference between human n drosophila sex determination is male character is determined by Y-Chromosome (has SRY- Sex determination region) while is drosophila its not determined by Y-chromosome. Instead it is the Autosomes that determines sex of the off-spring.
