How we can identify the Solution is collinear or not?

Method 1:

If A,B,C points are given, then, apply distance formula and find AB, BC, AC and check whether a condition like AB + BC = AC is there. If it's, then, the points are collinear.

Method 2:

Find the area of the triangle enclosed by these points. If the area comes out to be zero, it means that no triangle is formed and hence the points are collinear.
