Answer:

Explanation:

1) Abstract- The modern textile industry is cannot be even imagined without synthetic fibres.

2) Introduction-A synthetic fibre is a chain of small units that are joined together and each small unit is a chemical substance. Many small units combine to form a single large unit called polymer. Synthetic fibres are man made fibres prepared from raw materials like petroleum. Whereas natural fibres are obtained from plants or animals.

3) Objectives-Eventhough man made fibres like cotton and silk are known for its smooth and fineness, synthetic fibres like rayon, nylon and polyster are inevitable in today's life because of it importance even in household objects like rope, bucket , furniture, etc. It is mainly because synthetic fibres are durable, have great wear and tear resistance, do not wrinkle easily and with age do not turn yellow.

4)Research methods and findings-Synthetic fibres reinforcement holds great promise in improving the ductility of plain concrete and cement. Acrylic, polyster and aramid fibres were tested in uniaxial tension both in its original state and also after ageing in cement. It was found that these fibres lose varying amount of strength with time depending on ageing temperature.

5) Analysis or interpretation-Even though synthetic fibres are durable and have great wear and tear resistance they have some disadvantages too. Synthetic fibres do not absorb moisture, can be affected if washed using hot water ,can also catch fire easily and is prone to damage due to heat and therefore can melt easily.

6) Conclusion- Millions of tons of synthetic fibres are produces all over the world each year showing it importance in today's world. It has bought a huge change in our life as it has given more options to our wardrobe.
