Materials required:-A container, a glass, a candle, matchsticks, vinegar,baking soda.

Aim:-To show the effect of Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Procedure:-
Take a container and put some Baking soda in it.Take some vinegar and pour it carefully. Effervescence in the form of bubbles is seen.Tilt the container and pour the evolved gas into a glass. Now light a candle and tilt the glass above the burning candle.Now observe what happens.

Observation:- The burning candle is extinguished.

Conclusion:-When baking soda is mixed with vinegar , it releases CO2 gas which in turn extinguishes the fire
