Answer:

An experiment was performed to determine an object's speed and acceleration as it is travelling over an incline.  Materials needed include a steel plate, a book, a digital clock, long plastic tubes, and glass marbles. After experimentation conclusions were made that acceleration rises with increasing slope.

Explanation:

Aim: To determine an object's speed and acceleration as it is travelling over an incline.

Requirements: Materials needed include a steel plate, a book, a digital clock, long plastic tubes, and glass marbles.

Procedure:

1) Measure out an approximately 200 cm long plastic U-shaped flat wire casing channel. Make tracks out of these tube pieces.

2) Along the track, mark the readings in centimetres.

3) Lay the track's one end on the book and its other end on the ground.

4) Maintain a steel plate on the ground at the track's base.

5) Set the reading at the track's bottom as zero.

6) Select a marble that is large enough to fit in the track at the front.

7) Now throw the stone freely from a distance of, say, 40 cm.

8) After the marble is released, start the digital clock.

9) The steel plate is struck as it descends on the track.

10) When sound is made, stop the digital clock.

11) Perform the same experiment a second or third time across the same distance, noting the value of time in the table.

Repeat the experiment 12 times at varying distances.

13) Create an s-t graph using the values above.

14) Perform the aforementioned experiment using different track slopes and record the acceleration in each situation.

Conclusions:

1) Acceleration rises with increasing slope.

2) We reach the same conclusion as above when using an iron block.

Thus, An experiment was performed to determine an object's speed and acceleration as it is travelling over an incline.  Materials needed include a steel plate, a book, a digital clock, long plastic tubes, and glass marbles. After experimentation conclusions were made that acceleration rises with increasing slope.
