With respect to oil pollution in the water bodies, you can check out the ,fish biomass taking into account the carrying capacity of the local water body.

Here is one experiment for testing the pollutants in our water :

Materials Required:

• A beaker
• some sand and some pebbles.
• A Drinking Glass ( plastic ).
• Some polluted water.
• scissor

Experiment:

• Take beaker and keep it on a flat surface .
• now take the glass and cut a small hole in it from the bottom.
• now fill Pebbles and then sad one on the above in the glass .
• now pour the polluted water in the glass containing sand and pebbles.
• slowly pour the water.

Observation:

• you will observe the water when passes from sand then pebbles its pollutants will be vanished there and clean and pure water will be separated in the beaker kept under.

Note:

1. Do keep sand at the top and pebbles at the bottom of the glass .
2. Also pour the water slowly
3. This will happen in very much time so keep patience.
