Small conical clay figures are made and painted in red. Some of these figure are of the Hindu gods and deities like Lord Vishnu and are called Thrikkakara Appan.
Thrikkakara comes from 'Thiru-Kaal-Kara' which means the one one who has the universe in three steps who was Lord Vamha or Lord Vishnu himself and Appan means God or the one himself.
