Given that,

Three resistors of 4 ohm each.

To proof,

The equivalent resistance is 6 ohm.

Solution,

Firstly lets connect two resistors of 4 ohms in parallel such that the equivalent is given by :

\dfrac{1}{R_p}=\dfrac{1}{4}+\dfrac{1}{4}\\\\R_p=2\ \Omega

Now lets connect R_p\ and\ 4\ \Omega in series such that the equivalent is given by :

R_s=R_p+4\\\\R_s=2+4\\\\R_s=6\ \Omega

Hence, the equivalent is 6 ohms.
