Consequences of sowing wheat as a Kharif crop:
There would be hardly any wheat production. There is a maximum chance that no crop would be produced. Crops are of two types Rabi crops and Kharif crops.
- Rabi crops are those which are planted in an autumn month and grows well in the winter season.
- On the other hand, Kharif crops are sown in the spring and grow well in summer.
Wheat is a Rabi crop. So, it requires low temperature for growth which is not possible to obtain in summer, hence no production of crop is possible.
