Observations Before Interaction: The sugar is in tiny white particles in a pile. Heat is not seen but is implied by the heat source. The pile of sugar in the pot has a mass of 100 grams.
Observations After Interaction: There is a solid, light brown mass at the bottom of the pot. It has a mass of 100 grams.
How was mass conserved?: The mass of the sugar is the same in melted form as it is in solid crystal form.
Proof of a Chemical Reaction: There was not a chemical reaction. Sugar did not change composition. It only melted. Melting point is a physical property, and this is a physical change.

There are various changes that occur before and after the interaction is given a substance
- before interaction steel wool was there and after interaction with oxygen it burnt and gets converted into stem but before and interaction mass will be conserved

- water is a colorless liquid after interaction with heat it gets warmed and some of it also convert into the steam of we heat water in a closed container then it mass will be conserved
- zinc is a metal and hydrochloride is a liquid acid after interaction it becomes zinc chloride and hydrogen gas will be released but mass is conserved here
- after interaction of sodium hydroxide and copper sulfate it gets converted into sodium sulfate and copper hydroxide
