Good Morning, Today’s essay will be based on the topic -

“AATMANIRBHAR BHARAT: CONSERVE BLUE TO GO GREEN”

What is Aatmanirbhar Bharat? The answer to this question is that recently, the Prime Minister has launched the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (or Self-dependent India Mission)' with a monetary improvement bundle — worth Rs 20 lakh crores pointed towards accomplishing the mission.

And why did he launch it? This was because it was his vision that he wanted to see India as a self-reliant country.

And my topic is about why is it that we are using the phrase “CONSERVE BLUE TO GO GREEN” here. It basically means the more we save water, the more we plant trees and make it greener.

The key to Aatmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India lies in sustainable development, which in turn depends on saving natural resources, especially water and promoting an environment friendly lifestyle.  In other words, conservation of the precious water is very crucial for a nation like India, whose economy is agriculture based.  These agricultural practices also need to be sustainable

70% of India’s population depends on farming. And one of the most important things they need for farming is water. So, if we conserve water, we help the lives of 966003069 people. Since water is needed for agriculture, it necessary to save water. Water cannot come to you whenever you want, it has limitations and needs to be conserved. Also, changes in climatic patterns have maid rainfall unpredictable, leaving farmers to the mercy of weather. Thus, water conservation also helps save our agricultural lands and farmers and ensures sufficient food for the rest of the nation. Having enough food is also an indicator of self-reliance ~ Aatmanirbhar Bharat.x`
