Here is your answer..

________________________ Que:- Consider 2 fraction having numerator 1. The denominator of one fraction is 2 more than the denominator of other. Sum of the fraction is 5/12. Find fractions?

Ans:- let the 1st fraction be 1/ y then the other one will be 1/ y+2

according to question

1/y + 1/(y+2) = 5/12

that is the equation will be

5y×y –14y –24 = 0

solving equation we get y = 4 or –12/10 ( which is not possible bcoz in question numerator must be 1 )

so we take y = 4

Now the fractions are 1/4 and 1/6.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1/x+1/x+2=5/12

12+12=5x+5x+10

24=10x+10

24-10=10x

14=10x

14/10=x

7/5=x
