When we push something some component of force we apply adds to the normal reaction, which ultimately increases frictional force and remaining force is used to counter frictional force.
but when we pull something some component of force subtract from normal reaction and remaining force is used for countering friction force.
so as a result while pushing normal is increased so as a result kinetic friction is increased, which results in larger force required for pushing than pulling.
Hence better option is option B.
