300 Different teams can be formed

Step-by-step explanation:

a class of 5 girls and 7 boys.

teams consisting of 2 girls and 3 boys

2 girls can be selected in ⁵C₂ = 10 ways

3 boys can be selected in ⁷C₃ = 35 Ways

Total possible Teams = 10 * 35 = 350

but A & B can not be together

Case when A & B are together

third boy can be selected from remaining 5 boys in 5 way

Total possible teams = 10 * 5 = 50

Possible number of Teams = 350 - 50

= 300

300 Different teams can be formed
