consider a hypothetical planet with a mass equal to half that of earth and redius is 1/3 that of earth. If g is the acceleration due to gravity on earth the acceleration due to gravity on the planet will be.​

g(e)=GM/R²

on that hypothetical planet...

g(p)=[G(m/2)]/(R/3)²

=>g(p)=(Gm/R²)×(9/2)

=>g(p)=g(e)×(9/2)

=> g(p)=4.5g(e)
