Step-by-step explanation:

In the following arithmetic progression, the first term i.e. a = 6

the common difference i.e. d=4

Now going by the formulae we will get the 20th term= {6+(20-1)4}

=(6+76) = 82

And the 40th term={6+(40-1)4}

={6+156) = 162.
