Concept:

Mathematics has 4 basic operations namely edition subtraction multiplication and division.

Given:

We are given that:

LET + LEE = ALL

E = 5

Find:

We have to find the value of:

A + L + L

Solution:

We have that:

LET + LEE = ALL

That is:

a 3 Digit Number + a 3 Digit number = a 3 digit number

So, we get that:

L  < 5

Put E = 5:

L5T + L55 = ALL

as L < 5 , so, we get that:

T + 5  = L

Also,

5 + 5 + 1 = 11

So, L must be 1

15T + 155 = A11

So, T must be 6.

Hence, A must be 3

156 + 155 = 311

So, we get that:

A = 3 and L = 1

A + L + L  =  3 + 1 + 1 = 5

Therefore, we get that the value of A + L + L is 5.
