Children with special needs are the children who have average to very good intelligence but are handicapped in some way. The children who have mental disability but have an average intelligence are also allowed to join the main-stream schools.
I, as a teacher, interact with the parents and find out how much help is given at home and based on that, I would render my help. If the child has parent who is very cooperative, I would advise them how to take care and the child who has parent who can give very little support then, I would take the full responsibility and train the child in such a way that it could build its self-confidence and shine in life.
