Given :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 2 m/s
  • Acceleration (a) = - 2 m/s²
  • Time (t) = 5 seconds

To find :-

  • Distance (s)

According to the question,

By using Newtons second equation of motion,

s = ut+ ½ at²

Where,

  • s stands for Distance
  • a stands for Acceleration
  • u stand for Initial velocity
  • t stands for Time

Substituting the values,

→ s = 2 × 5 + ½ × (-2) × 5 × 5

→ s = 10 + (-25)

→ s = 10 - 25

→ s = -15

As we know that distance can't be negative so we will take it as positive.

.°. The distance is 15 m.

Given:-

  • Initial Velocity (u) =2m/s
  • Acceleration (a) = 2m/s
  • Time (t) =5 seconds

To find:-

  • Distance

According To the question,

By using Newton's Second Equation Of motion,

s = ut + 1/2at

Where,

  • s stands for Distance
  • a stands for acceleration
  • u stands for initial velocity
  • t stands for time

substituting the value

➡s = 2× 5+1/2 +(-2)×5×5

➡s = 10+(-25)

➡s = 10-25

➡s= -15

As we know that distance can't be negative so we will take it positive.

The Distance is 15 m.
