Hey Mate.

Your answer is (i) The sum of the given expression is (k + 1)².

How?

Put any number, say 4, in place of k.

Thus we get,

1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + (2 x 4 + 1)

= 16 + 9

= 25.

Now we know that,

25 = 5².

Here k = 4.

Thus (k + 1)² = 5² = 25.

Hence proved.
