after passing through r1, we have a parallel arrangement of r4 and r2,r3
so, r1 and r5 are in series anf r4,r2 and r3 are in parallel
now, equivalent R of the parallel connection, you can check the attached image to visualise what it will actually look like
now R = 3 + 3 + Rp
1/Rp = 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3
1/Rp = 3/3
Rp = 1 ohm
R = 3 + 3 + Rp
R = 3 + 3 + 1
R = 7 ohm
