Consider the following figure Magnesium ribbon Charcoal powder Sulphur powder Aluminium foil A B CD With the help of a dropper, a few drops of dilute hydrochloric acid were added to each of the given test tubes and warmed gently. Which of the given samples does not produce pop sound on bringing a burning matchstick near the mouth of each of the test tubes?

Metal + Acid= salt + Hydrogen gas.

If Mg Ribbion ,charcoal powder, sulphur powder and Aluminum foil are taken in four different test tubes A,B,C and D.
Add Hydrochloric acid

Observation:
We observe liberation of Hydrogen gas in Mg Ribbion and Aluminum
Foil test tube.

Whereas Hydrogen gas is not evolved in test tube B and C as they contain non metals.
